CIRCULARITY SHOWCASE
We loved being part of Australia's Post's Circular Economy Showcase which demonstrated and demystified circularity for textiles, one step at a time.
Australia Post, a long-time client of REMONDIS Australia's Integrated and Managed Services division (REMONDIS IMS), brought us in to collaborate with R. M. Williams, Sheridan and BlockTexx to show what a circular solution might look like for textiles.
Our role was to demonstrate the sorting and verification phase of the cycle. We whipped up an animated video and shared examples from our colleagues in Europe – where the REMONDIS Group has substantial textile recovery operations – and Nathan Radley and Matt Slater had many productive conversations with Australia Post's invited guests from the textile and waste sectors.
Here's what Australia Post said about the event on LinkedIn:
"This Green Postal Day, we were proud to host our Circular Innovation Showcase – an immersive experience exploring how Australia Post could help power a circularity revolution, from purchase through to re-purpose.
"In collaboration with Sheridan, R. M. Williams, BlockTexx and REMONDIS Australia, we challenged the status quo by reimagining how Australia Post can enable the recovery and reuse of valuable resources in everyday items like shirts and sheets – that may otherwise end up in landfill.
"The concept explored how our trusted network and logistics expertise could deliver circularity as a service, helping Australians close the loop and reduce waste at scale."
"This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, and we’re excited to explore opportunities to pilot this work in the future."
