Björn has been with REMONDIS for over 20 years and with extensive experience in general management, business development and mergers & acquisitions, Björn is committed to growing the Australian business operations as CEO and Director of the Australian Board.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Director

A Mechanical Engineer by training, Alex has many years of experience across large scale international logistics and manufacturing operations in steel and mining industries, working both for BlueScope and BHP. Alex has an MBA from Sydney Business School, and has led large operations in several states across Australia. He joined the waste management industry in 2016 and has a passion for resource recovery that led to the development of several new processing facilities within the Australian recycling landscape in recent years. Formerly Chief Technical Officer, Alex took on the role of Chief Operating Officer in June 2023.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Director

A process driven finance professional with experience across the banking, automotive and IT sectors, Raphael joined the REMONDIS Group in Europe in 2016 and subsequently joined the Australian team in 2019. Holding various senior management roles within the Finance function prior, Raphael was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Director of REMONDIS Australia in November 2023. With expertise across Finance, Controlling and M&A, he has a strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in successfully navigating strategically complex and business critical matters.
